Just a charming little Barbie collection ... Barbie and Ken just got married! They have their wedding gown and tuxedo, they have their leisure clothes and swimsuits , and of course they have their Honeymoon night sleepwear Their case is in very fine shape, clean and cute inside with Blue for Ken and Pink for Barbie. On the outside it is neat that the dolls are the exact versions (blond and Bubble cut Titian) of Ken and Barbie. Handle is solid and intact. All of the clothes are in good shape for their age...very minor wear. Most noticable problems: One leg of Ken's tux has a rip on the seam (probably came apart because Ken has such big feet!). Barbies original swimsuit has runs, Elastic in Ken's swimtrunks streched out, same story with Barbie's skimpy little pink bra. Ken's yellow shorts have minor stains. Good points about clothes: most have nice crisp tags inside--- a testament to how gently they were played with. Most are complete oufits (barbie is missing the white shoe to the wedding dress, she is missing one pink shoe that goes with her nightie---who does she think she is, Cinderella?), Great accesories: Ken's HIS towel, his razor, his bar of soap, even a corrsage to give barbie's mother at the wedding! Barbie has her mirror and bridal bouquet. The dolls themselves are nice examples of early Barbie and Ken. Negatives: Barbie is missing both pinkie fingers and has a nibble on one foot. She has slight lip rub and her lips are also faded. Ken's arms fall off! I understand this is a comman issue with flocked hair Kens; however his arms will stay on nicely for display. His flocked hair has a couple of bald spots . Good points: Ken is first issue...has 1961 markings and I read that Ken was the first ever boy doll made in America! His facepaint is great and no scuffs or marks on his body. Barbie has a beautiful hairdo, perfect bubble cut. She has no green ear at all...her earrings must have been taken out when she was brand new. No rubs at all on her perfect eyebrows. She is on the correct body for the 1962-67 doll. No odors, really clean and sweet set for the beginner or someone who wants to add to their collection. $15 to ship, paypal please. Good Luck!
